Tuned Mass Damper
Product Introduction
The Tuned Mass Damper (TMD for short) is a passive control device that counteracts the vibration of the main structure based on the resonance principle. By connecting an auxiliary mass block with specific mass and stiffness to the main structure, it utilizes its own vibration characteristics to reduce the dynamic response of the main structure under seismic, wind or environmental excitations.
The tuned mass damper is mainly composed of three parts: mass block, spring and damper. Its working principle is to adjust the frequency of TMD to be close to or equal to the vibration frequency of the main structure, and use the resonance reaction force between the two to offset the vibration energy of the main structure.
